Holy Common Ground

We Come from dif'rent Backgrounds, dif'rent ages, dif'rent races.
When we look at one another, we see dif'rence in our faces.
We can not find a healing we don't recognize the loss.
Until we stand at the foot of the cross.

And then we find our Common ground, common ground,
At the foot of the cross, we are on common ground.
No matter where we come from, how we live or who we are!
When we come to the cross we are on common ground.
This world is full of hatred, there are battles everywhere.
When we look at one another, have we forgotten how to care?
We can not feel forgiveness, we can't even count the cost!
Until we stand at the foot of the cross.

Jesus brings our hearts together, He makes us truly free.
When He died He showed us how alike We'll always be!
We are all one in Christ Jesus, We are all equal in Him.
When we come to stand together, we can let the love begin.
We can not let the diff'rence come between us any more.
